Living with Pulmonary Fibrosis can be a struggle, but as with any disease, the support community can make all the difference.
This October 6, the University of Minnesota Center for Lung Science and Health and University of Minnesota Physicians will host the Pulmonary Fibrosis Patient Education Day. It is a free event, offering insight into new treatments and research while connecting University of Minnesota doctors, researchers, friends, and patients.
Sessions through the day include laughter and relaxation yoga, pulmonary rehabilitation information, alternative therapies for shortness of breath and oxygen therapy.
Speakers include Tim Whelan, M.D., Medical University of South Carolina, and Angela Panoskaltsis-Mortari, Ph.D., University of Minnesota.
The event will be held at McNamara Alumni Center on October 6, beginning at 7:30 am. Breakfast and lunch will be provided, and registration is encouraged.
