Research Focus

Kola Okuyemi has devoted his career to improving the health of minorities and eliminating health disparities using pharmacological and culturally tailored behavioral interventions. Director of the Program in Health Disparities Research, Okyemi leads a dynamic, interdisciplinary team of more than 25 junior, mid-career, and senior health disparities research scientists. He also is a member of the Masonic Cancer Center and an associate professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health.
