Research Focus

Improving the lives of people with diabetes is the ultimate goal of Elizabeth Seaquist’s research. Her experimental work looks at the effect of diabetes on brain metabolism, structure, and function. She is currently heading projects to learn how the brain adapts to diabetes and recurrent hypoglycemia with the long term goal of developing new therapies for the disease.
