Research Focus
Timothy Ebner and his lab seek to understand how neurons and groups of neurons encode information needed in order to plan and execute limb movements. Specifically, they study a variety of movements, including reaching to targets in space, tracking moving targets, hand movements, and learning visuomotor relations. If his team can decipher how the brain represents different movement parameters, they can then use that information to control movements.
