Research Focus
Weisdorf’s work revolves around transplant therapies for hematologic malignancies, types of cancer that affect blood, bone marrow, and lymph nodes. His research includes applications, complications, and long-term outcomes of stem cell transplants. In addition, Weisdorf studies clinical complications of transplant patients, and the role of the immune system in graft versus host disease and in opportunistic infections.
