Light rail construction update

Construction of the Central Corridor light rail project is well underway and major activities are now taking place on the U of M East Bank – impacting vehicular and pedestrian traffic, as well as mass transit. When planning your route to campus, plan for some additional time to navigate through campus and to park. For the latest construction updates, please visit the Central Corridor website.

Parking:

Parking rates at the U of M are controlled by Parking and Transportation Services (PTS). While parking facilities usually charge standard rates, at times PTS charges flat rates during special events on campus. Mini Medical School staff will provide updates on the Mini Med website regarding potential event parking rates on Mini Med nights. The following parking facilities are options for Mini Med students:

Washington Avenue Ramp - View Map

• Connected to the 2nd floor of Moos Tower via a tunnel under Washington Avenue
• Hourly parking rates – pay upon exit; or
• Event parking rates ($8-$10 depending on event) – pay upon entry

East River Road Garage - View Map

• Flat-fee rate: $6 if you enter after 5 p.m. and exit before 7 a.m.; or
• Event parking rates ($8-$10 depending on event) – pay upon entry

Maroon Lot - View Map

• The East Bank Circulator provides free shuttle service between the Maroon Lot and the Masonic Memorial Building, which is adjacent to Moos Tower. To pick up the East Bank Circulator, board the bus on the west side of Oak Street, across from the Maroon Lot. The bus stops outside the Masonic Memorial Building, just a short distance from Moos Tower. Buses run every 30 minutes after 5:00 p.m., until 10 p.m.
