Stephen W. Schondelmeyer, Pharm.D., Ph.D., a professor of Pharmaceutical Economics in the College of Pharmacy, is an expert in the practice of pharmaceutical care and its role in the healthcare system. He is knowledgable in topics including prescription drug reimbursement, drug benefit plans, pricing patterns of the pharmaceutical industry. His research projects have included prescription drug reimbursement under Medicaid, Medicare and other programs; pharmaceutical prices and patents; and pharmaceutical competition. He has conducted research for sponsors including the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the U.S. Special Committee on Aging and the Food and Drug Administration.
