The Academic Health Center’s Medical Reserve Corps provides a ready source of health-related services in times of special need.
Academic Health Center faculty, staff, and students who volunteer for the reserve corps receive training and stand ready for a call to provide emergency assistance in Minnesota or wherever help is needed.
The group has helped staff flu clinics, responded to spring flood disasters in western Minnesota, maintained automatic electronic defibrillators around campus, and provided care in the wake of the 35W bridge collapse and Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
